Download the app

About this download

My MedSure is still in development. You can download the Android file (APK) here and install it on your phone while the Play Store listing is being prepared.

Installing an app from a website instead of the Play Store is called sideloading. Android will warn you because the file is not from Play. That is expected.

Features may still change as we continue to improve the app.

My MedSure Android APK

File type: Android package (.apk). Open this page on an Android phone (Chrome works best). You cannot install this file on iPhone, iPad, Windows or Mac.

Download Android APK · 80.3 MB

After you tap Download, wait until the file finishes. It is about 80.3 MB.

Before you start
  • Use an Android phone or tablet (Android 8 or newer is recommended).
  • Have enough storage (at least 150 MB free).
  • Use Wi‑Fi if possible. Mobile data will also work, but the file is large.
  • Unlock the phone and stay on this page until the download completes.
  • If an older My MedSure app is already installed, you can still install this one over it. If Android says it conflicts, uninstall the old app first: Settings → Apps → My MedSure → Uninstall.
1. Download the file

Chrome (recommended)

  1. Open this page in Chrome on the phone.
  2. Tap Download Android APK.
  3. If Chrome shows “This type of file can harm your device”, tap OK or Download anyway. That message appears because the file is not from Play Store.
  4. Wait for the download to finish. You can open the download tray (the arrow icon) to watch progress.
  5. When it says My-MedSure.apk is complete, tap the file name, or open Downloads / Files and tap it there.

Samsung Internet or another browser

The steps are the same. If the file opens as text or does not download, switch to Chrome and try again.

2. Allow installs from this source

Android blocks unknown apps until you allow the app that is installing (Chrome, Files, or Downloads). You only allow that one source, not every app on the internet.

If a pop-up appears

  1. Tap Settings on the pop-up (wording may be “Allow from this source”).
  2. Turn on Allow from this source / Install unknown apps.
  3. Press Back, then tap the APK again and tap Install.

If there is no pop-up, turn it on yourself

  1. Open Settings → Apps (or Applications).
  2. Open Special app access / Special access.
  3. Open Install unknown apps (sometimes under Security).
  4. Select Chrome (or Files / My Files if you opened the APK from there).
  5. Turn on Allow from this source.
  6. Go back to Downloads, tap My-MedSure.apk, then Install.

Samsung: Settings → Biometrics and security → Install unknown apps. Xiaomi / Huawei: Settings → Privacy / Security → Installation sources, then enable Chrome.

3. Install and open
  1. Tap Install. Wait until you see App installed.
  2. Tap Open, or find My MedSure on the home screen / app drawer.
  3. Log in with the details from your welcome SMS or email.
4. Play Protect and other warnings

Google Play Protect may say it does not recognise the app. That can happen when the app is installed from this website instead of Play Store.

  • If you see Send anyway / Install anyway / More details, open more details and choose to install anyway only if you downloaded it from this official MedSure page.
  • Do not install a My MedSure APK sent on WhatsApp or email from someone you were not told to use.
  • You can turn Play Protect scanning off temporarily (Play Store → profile → Play Protect → settings), install, then turn it back on.
If something goes wrong

Download does nothing — Use Chrome, not in-app browsers (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp). Copy this page URL into Chrome.

“Package appears to be invalid” / can’t open — The download was cut off. Delete the file in Downloads, download again on Wi‑Fi, and wait until it reaches the full size (about 80.3 MB).

“App not installed” / conflicts with an existing package — Uninstall the previous My MedSure app, then install this APK again.

Blocked by security policy — Work or school phones often block sideloading. Use a personal device.

Still stuck — Email admin@medsureglobal.com or call +27 31 303 3928 and say you are installing the My MedSure app.

Updating the app

When a new APK is uploaded here, download it again and install over the old one. You usually keep your login. If install fails, uninstall the old app first, then install the new file.
